What makes Hida Hoonokidaira special

Sheer scale.
Sheer
openness.

An overwhelming scale spreads out right below the Northern Japan Alps. Mountain ridges fill the view, and the sky opens up without end. Slopes shaped by the natural terrain show a different face every time you ride them. Every moment spent in that openness turns into time away from everyday life.

Great for
first-timers.

Even if this is your first time on snow, the resort is set up so you can enjoy it with confidence. Gentle pitches and wide courses let you find your own pace. Children get used to the snow while they play, and experienced riders still find plenty of interest in the natural terrain. Everyone settles in easily.

There is more
than skiing.

Time here does not end with skiing. Moon Bike, Snow Rafting, the Summit Snow Taxi and more are all waiting. It is a place where children and grown-ups alike get absorbed, and where you can feel the scale of nature. Everyone spends the day their own way, and shares the same snow-mountain playground.
